This website does not track you. It stores one single thing on your device — the code of the language you pick yourself in the switcher. Nothing else: no measurement, no advertising. That is why you will find no consent window here: the technically necessary minimum needs none.

What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website puts in your browser so that it can “remember” you on your next visit — a sign-in, the contents of a basket or your behaviour on the page, for example. Other browser storage such as local storage works the same way.
Why there is no cookie banner here
Consent under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications is required when a website stores data in the terminal device or accesses data stored there. The same sentence exempts whatever is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has explicitly requested — and remembering the language you clicked is exactly that. Nothing else is stored, so there is nothing to ask consent for.
This is not a technical quirk but a decision: we measure traffic with our own tool on our own server, and that needs no cookies. Instead of following an individual, it is enough for us to know which page does its job — this is described in detail in our privacy notice.

Choice of language
The website has a Slovak, a Czech, a German and an English version. Which one you see is not decided by the ending of the address — that stays exactly as you typed it — but by you: the site first looks at the language set on your device, which the browser sends on its own in the header of every request. Write the language into the address yourself (for example /de/) and we respect it and redirect you nowhere.
The website remembers your language in a technical cookie called pws_lang. It holds a language code and the time of the choice — nothing else, no identifier that could recognise a device or a person. Thanks to it your next visit will not bounce you back to your device language once you have picked another one. How long it lasts depends on how the choice came about:

You can delete it at any time in your browser settings — the site will then infer the language from your device again, and nothing else changes.
Consent under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications is not required for data strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. Showing the site in a language you understand is precisely such a service, which is why we do not ask.
How to verify this and how to manage cookies
You can check it without having to take our word for it: in your browser open the developer tools (the F12 key), the Application or Storage tab, and look at the list of cookies for this domain. You will find a single entry there — the language code and the time of the choice. A further cookie on the domain appears once the operator signs in to the non-public administration of the website, which visitors cannot reach.

Changes to this policy
If we ever add a tool to the website that stores more than the technically necessary minimum, proper consent with the option to refuse will come first and this text will be rewritten. The effective date above always matches the last substantive change.
